The rents presented here are taken from the **real estate announcements** published in the daily and specialist press, and on the real estate portal [IMMOTOP.LU] (http://www.immotop.lu/). These are not necessarily the rents actually paid by the tenants, but the **rents requested by the landlords at the time of the rental of the property, before any negotiation**.
The Observatoire de l'Habitat updates quarterly statistics on the announced rents of apartments and houses in Luxembourg City, according to the administrative districts, based on the real estate ads published during the previous twelve months.
