Guideline on the development of regional waste prevention concepts.
Description
Waste prevention is the most effective form of resource conservation and an essential measure for climate protection. It includes measures taken before a product becomes waste. The participation of all is necessary for effective waste prevention. Municipalities play a special role in this, as they have a role model and stimulate waste prevention through incentives. As waste producers, they are able to adapt their actions accordingly. Against this background, on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, the Federal Environment Agency has developed a practice-oriented guideline for the development of a waste prevention concept for municipalities. The guide contains a practical guideline, proposed measures, a wide range of implementation tips and numerous “best practice” examples.
