Description
With this guide, the Federal Environment Agency supports authorities in the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of projects in areas where the air pollutant limit values have been exceeded. The guide focuses on projects with transport relevance. The local and material scope of the Immissionsschutzgesetz-Luft (IG-L) is considered; for areas exceeding the limit values for air pollutants, criteria for an irrelevant additional load as well as an appropriate procedure for the case-by-case assessment are proposed. The handling of traffic and immission forecasts is also discussed. In the present version of the Guide, updates have been made resulting from changes in the legal situation, the state of knowledge and the burden situation.
