Description
Bioregions are relatively identical landscapes in terms of milieu factors and organisms. A bioregion is a unique category that is spatially separated from other classes. In Austria, 15 river bioregions are distinguished in this respect. Of the 15, 9 bioregions were defined as fish ecologically relevant and subsequently referred to as fish bioregions.
