Municipal Plan 2019, Order of Urban Development
Description
The municipal plan’s guidelines describe the overall land use targets in the City of Copenhagen. The order of urban development falls under the Municipal Plan 2019 Guidelines on Overall Urban Development.
The order of urban development ensures that the overall urban development in Copenhagen is coordinated with the development of infrastructure, public transport and municipal investment in public services.
The City of Copenhagen establishes a sequence for urban development of areas with a greater conversion potential. The order also includes smaller areas that are part of a larger context or are significant in relation to the overall development of the city.
The map shows how Copenhagen’s urban development is prioritised. The areas are defined for urban development in the 1st part of the planning period (2019-2024), the second part of the planning period (2025-2030) or in the perspective period after year 2031, if not otherwise specified.
