Description
On the occasion of the extension of the Temelin nuclear power plant, two bilateral consultation meetings were held within the framework of the transboundary environmental impact assessment procedure. These dealt with the environmental impact statement and the technical opinion drawn up on behalf of the Ministry of Life by the Austrian Energy Agency and the Austrian Ecology Institute. The Federal Environment Agency supervises the procedure in terms of content and organisation. The consultation report describes the extent to which the outstanding issues discussed in the consultation meetings have been addressed and makes recommendations that should be taken into account in further procedural steps. Priority was given to analysing potential cross-border effects of the project.
