Description
Within the framework of the transboundary environmental compatibility test procedure for the extension of the Temelin nuclear power plant, an expert opinion was drawn up on behalf of the BMLFUW on the Environmental Impact Statement (UVE) by the Austrian Energy Agency and the Austrian Ecology Institute. The Federal Environment Agency supervises the procedure in terms of content and organisation. The technical opinion outlines the extent to which the requirements for the UVE to be submitted by the project promoter ČEZ have also been met in accordance with the position of the Czech Ministry of the Environment. Priority was given to analysing potential cross-border effects of the project.
