Description
In the district of Tolna near the Hungarian city of Paks, about 100 km south of Budapest, the only nuclear power plant in Hungary is operated on the Danube (Paks NPP). In addition to the existing four reactors, two new reactors with a net electrical output of 1,000-1,600 MW each are to be built at the Paks NPP site. The completion of the reactors is planned for 2025 and 2030, respectively, and the operating period is expected to be 60 years.
