Description
Vessel and Figure Ceramics:
The collection includes medieval vascular ceramics, as well as vessels made in Switzerland and used in Switzerland, as well as figurines, sculptures and reliefs from the 18th century to the present day. One focus is on the figure work of the Zürcher Porzellanmanufaktur.
Glass:
The glass collection mainly includes hollow glasses, drinking glasses, bottles and crockery as well as special shapes from the late Middle Ages to the present day.
A major focus in the collection activity is the extension of glasses from the 20th and 21st centuries.
Oven ceramics:n
Reference collection for Swiss production.
Of importance are the completely preserved ovens.
The focus is on medieval Swiss oven ceramics, the Winterthur oven ceramics 16-17th century and the Zurich oven ceramics 18th century.
Building ceramics:r
Unique collection of relief-decorated bricks from the brickyard of the Cistercian Monastery of St. Urban as well as from other monasteries.
Reference collection for medieval Europe.
