The map of non-forest land habitats of the Republic of Croatia 2016 is a spatial representation of habitats, which includes, according to the National Habitats Classification (NSC), 155 habitat types of the following classes: surface land waters and wetland habitats (A), non-growing and poorly overgrown land areas (B), grasslands, cresses and high green (C), scrublands (D), sea coast (F), cultivated non-forest areas and habitats with weed and ruderal vegetation (I) and habitat complexes (K). The map is made on a scale of 1:25 000 with the smallest mapping unit of 1.56 ha, and consists of 322 758 polygon (>1.56 ha) and 972 dotted representations of habitat types. During its production, 64 343 field observations were collected, i.e. over 22 % of the polygons were checked.
