January 2006 Most Probable 24-Month Study

Description

The Most Probable 24-Month Study report describes projected operations and power generation for Colorado River system reservoirs including Fontenelle, Flaming Gorge, Taylor Park, Blue Mesa, Morrow Point, Crystal, Vallecito, Navajo, Powell, Hoover Dam - Lake Mead, Davis Dam - Lake Mohave, and Parker Dam - Lake Havasu. Operations were projected using Reclamation’s 24-Month Study RiverWare model with the Most Probable unregulated inflow projections provided by the National Weather Service’s Colorado Basin River Forecast Center. The Most Probable inflow scenario reflects a median hydrologic condition which statistically would be exceeded 50% of the time. The operations depicted in this report reflects the Annual Operating Plan as approved by the Secretary of the Interior.
