Description
These maps, although still preliminary, were made according to an expeditious methodology used and accredited also internationally. At present, it is the best available information on the basis of data available at national level. They are therefore open to refinements, depending on the quality and resolution of the basic map data and the evolution of the processing methods.In the future, the limits of the alert zones may be progressively updated, in order to integrate new and more defined spatial data with numerical models and flood scenarios. Any updates will always be reported on this website.It is reported that some coastal warning zones, for which the prompt methodology does not return products of easy applicability, are not available and are currently under investigation.At the moment, detailed processing of the alert zones are available for the Regions Calabria, Sicily, Basilicata, Puglia, Campania, Liguria, Lazio, Molise, Abruzzo, Marche, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Sardinia
