National Ondametric Network — Dataset
Description
The National Ondametric Network (RON), is the wave detection system of ISPRA, consisting of a network of fifteen measuring stations at fixed points along the national coasts for the collection of data that, properly processed, characterise the state of the sea. The descriptive parameters derive from the continuous observation of the variation of the sea surface through directional wave buoys and are processed at regular time intervals according to the definitions of Guideline n°702 “Guide to wave analysis and forecasting” of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
