Radon – Potential natural radioactivity – Dataset
Description
The resource describes the mapping of the potential natural radioactivity of lithotypes emerging in Italy on the vector basis of the Italian Litological Charter at scale 1:100.000. It was included in the appendix to the National Action Plan for Radon (Action 1.2) in implementation of Legislative Decree No 101 of 31 July 2020. The resource illustrates the preliminary qualitative classification of outward rocks based on potential natural radioactivity, according to the classes of HIGH, MEDIA and LOW emissivity; the non-defined class covers areas with surface water.
