Land Consumption 2021 — Dataset
Description
National map of land consumption carried out by the National Environmental Protection System, with classification system on the first level. The production of cartography, based on satellite images (Sentinel 1 and 2 from 2015 onwards), takes place through an improvement of the geometric and temporal resolution of Copernicus territorial monitoring services, the use of semi-automatic classification algorithms and photo interpretation, at the end of which data verification and validation operations are carried out. The data are the official reference at national level for information on land consumption pursuant to Law 132/2016.
