Land Consumption 2019 — Dataset
Description
National land consumption map drawn up by the National Environmental Protection System, with classification system at the first level. The production of maps, based on satellite images (Sentinel 1 and 2 from 2015 onwards), takes place through an improvement of the geometric and temporal resolution of Copernicus land monitoring services, the use of semi-automatic classification algorithms and photo interpretation, at the end of which data verification and validation operations are carried out. The data represent the official reference at national level for land use information under Law 132/2016.
