Description
Map of Nature — Naturalistic-Cultural Charter has been created as part of the Nature Charter Information System in order to classify the Italian territory on the basis of synthetic indices, including both the natural and cultural values of the country. It was chosen not to identify with administrative limits the territorial areas to which the values should be assigned, but to refer them to portions of the territory defined by physiographic homogeneity; in particular, those set out in the Chart of Physiographic Units of the Italian Landscapes at the 1:250.00 scale have been chosen.
