Description

Purchasing expenditure is the expenditure made by the national government on goods and services at suppliers. Once a year, the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations receives information about the purchasing expenditure of the previous year from all ministries and subordinate departments. The Ministry uses this information to provide government category managers, who purchase and tender for the generic purchasing categories, with government-wide purchasing information. Since 2012, this purchasing information has also been used to inform the House of Representatives about government purchasing and the share of small and medium-sized enterprises in it.
