Description
The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development has created an inclusive prosperity dashboard — a manageable set of metrics that collectively define and help monitor inclusive prosperity in DC. The indicators were developed with input from DC residents, businesses, government data managers, and community organizations with the guidance of researchers from the Urban Institute.
As a starting point, the inclusive prosperity dashboard is focused on components of a business environment that drive inclusive economic growth: jobs, businesses and workforce. We have not covered all factors that influence inclusive prosperity, such as housing, in detail, but we have attempted to reflect their influence by including certain indicators, such as rent burden and commute times indicators.
