Imagery data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve
Description
This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here.
To develop a draft map for field sampling, we used eCognition software to divide spectral data for the Reserve into 18,428 initial polygons. The spectral data used by eCognition to create polygon boundaries was 1 m resolution aerial imagery from the 2011 National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) along with LIDAR height data available for the Reserve. Initial polygons ranged in area from 0.005 to 47 acres (22 to 192,972 m2).
