Image scenarios ecological-environmental model framework — PBL
Description
Image is an ecological-environmental model framework that simulates the environmental impact of human activities worldwide. It models the interactions between society, the biosphere and the climate system to evaluate sustainability issues such as climate change, biodiversity and human well-being. The IMAGE model (version 3.0, released in 2014) aims to explore the long-term dynamics and effects of global change resulting from the interaction between demographic, technological, economic, social, cultural and political factors. The results of IMAGE scenarios runs (with each 200 indicators per scenario) are available per project. For this purpose, a visualisation tool is available that can be downloaded. The tool provides access to the multi-temporal data. The tool allows the regional (26 world regions) data to be exported in xml format, which is imported into Excel. Global grid data (0.5*0.5 degree resolution) now requires a separate conversion to ascii grid with a downloadable conversion tool. For more information, see the IMAGE 3.0 download page.
