Specifications:
In 2009, the specification defined a standard for densities:
Density= ((100/(ecart_between_foot)*(100/(ecart_entre_rangs)))
Density min of 4000 feet/hectare with
rank < 2.50 m
between foot > or = 0.90 m
For terraced vineyards, we accept between foot > or = 0.90 m
Density classification:
Density < 3600 = the vineyard remains under PDO designation until 2038
3600 < Density < 4000 = The vineyard is accepted PDO if the vine dates from before 2009
Density > 4000 = OK
