Aquifer System – BDLISA Local Level NV3

Division of the entire national territory into hydrogeological entities

This database has been defined and developed at 1/50000 (local scale). On this scale, all hydrogeological objects in the French territory have therefore been mapped and described. These hydrogeological objects and their characteristics constitute the unitary information of the database and are named hydrogeological entities NV3.

Representations at smaller scales (regional scales = 1/200000 or national = 1/1000000) can be obtained through information aggregation mechanisms initially at 1/50000. This is the concept of NV1 and NV2 representation level.

A groundwater body is a separate volume of groundwater within one or more aquifers

The BD LISA repository (Database of Limits of Aquifer Systems) is distributed free of charge to any third party subject to non-commercial use.

3 levels:

National usage level NV1: large aquifer system and large hydrogeological domain,

Regional usage level NV2: aquifer system and hydrogeological domain,

Local usage level NV3: aquifer unit, semi-permeable unit and waterproof unit,

In this platform, will be highlighted only the local level of use 3.
