Corine Land Cover – Basque Country 2012
Corine Land Cover (CLC) is a land use inventory established in 1985 as part of the European programme for the coordination of environmental information (Corine).
This inventory is produced by visual interpretation of satellite images. The production scale is 1/100000, which allows for regional or national analysis.
Land use is described according to a nomenclature of 44 posts divided into 5 main categories.
This nomenclature makes it possible to distinguish the main types of land use according to a common typology and to assign an official color code. It is divided into 5 main categories:
\- artificialised territories;
\- agricultural territories;
\- forests and semi-natural environments;
\- wetlands;
\- water surfaces.
