Piolp Landscape

Description

The first step in the identification of the island landscape has been to determine those elements of abiotic, biotic and cultural characteristics that compose it. From this typification an attempt has been made to establish a series of distinctive features at the landscape level that make up the Palmero territory. The abiotic elements are the result of geology and as a consequence of lithology, geomorphological phases and relief, surely the element that most conditions it. From the relief are derived aspects of such importance for the structure and functionality of the landscape such as height, orientation or slope. The biotic elements consist of the covering of the soil by the native vegetation, whose diversity, intensity and quality characterizes in a special way the landscape AND the anthropic or cultural elements correspond to the transformations of the territory that the human being has made related to its accommodation, displacement and production for its maintenance.
