piolp community habitats

Description

In La Palma there is a high diversity of plant formations and habitats, in many cases scarcely represented on an island, European and world scale and which still occupy relatively important extensions in La Palma. Among the habitats of community interest located in the terrestrial environment we have: • 1250 Endemic Macaronesian coastal cliffs • 4050* Endemic Macaronesian heaths • 4090 Endemic oro-Mediterranean scrubs with algae • 5330 Thermo-Mediterranean and pre-aesthetic scrubs • 7220* Petrifying springs with tuf formation (Cratoneurion) • 8220 Siliceous rocky slopes with casmophytic vegetation • 8310 Caves not exploited by tourism • 8320 Lava fields and natural excavations • 92D0 Thermo-Mediterranean galleries and riparian scrubs • 9360* Macaronesian laurisilvas • 9370* Palm trees of Phoenix canariensis • 9550 Macaronesian or endemic canaries • 9560* Endemic Mediterranean forests of Juniperus sppl. (Canary Islands) Some of these habitats have a very disjunct distribution and an extension distributed in small spots. Based on the available information, the distribution of habitats is reflected at the Information level.
