nascent

Description

The nascents are natural water catchment points that are located at high altitudes and correspond to the Coebra aquifer. The most important nascents of the island of La Palma are those of Marcos and Cordero, which are located at the head of the Agua ravine, in the municipality of San Andrés y Sauces. There are about 150 nascents that contribute about 10.1 hm3 a year.
