Digital Terrestrial Television
Description
Digital Television is the set of technologies for the transmission and reception of image and sound through digital signals. Unlike analog television, Digital Television encodes signals in binary form. In this way, it is possible, thanks to the different signal compression formats, the transmission of several signals in the same channel and the creation of interactive applications through return channels between the consumer and content producer.
Digital Television is the diffusion of Television signals that uses the most modern digital technology to transmit in an optimized way higher quality image and sound, allowing additionally to offer other interactive services or access to the Information Society.
Currently, it is possible to access Digital Television through the following access technologies:
* Terrestrial Waves (TDT).
* Cable.
* Satellite.
* ADSL.
* Mobile Devices.
