Acts of civil status – City of Lorient

Description

Annual list of civil status statistics registered by the City of Lorient since 1989. This list shall specify the acts: * recognition * birth * civil union (marriage, pacs) * death Gender criteria are proposed to identify the sex of newborns and couples who enter into a civil union. Some peculiarities: * The creations and dissolutions of Civil Pacts of Solidarity (PACS) have been registered by the City since November 2017. * Name changes ([Article 311-23 of the Civil Code](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichCodeArticle.do?cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006070721&idArticle=LEGIARTI000006424892&dateTexte=&categorieLien=cid)) have been registered by the City since 2005. * Changes in first name ([Articles 60 to 61-4 of the Civil Code](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichCode.do?idArticle=LEGIARTI000006420953&idSectionTA=LEGISCTA000006149971&cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006070721)) have been registered by the City since 2017. * Changes in the local hospital context explain the upward trend in the total number of births since the mid-2000s.
