IDEA - List of wastewater treatment plants

Description

This is the list of the 31 treatment plants currently operating on the territory of IDEA (Agency for Territorial Development of the Heart of Hainaut). In this table you will find, among other things, the column: "capacity in inhabitant equivalent".The notion of inhabitant equivalent (PE) is a theoretical notion, established on the basis of a large number of measurements, which expresses the polluting load of an effluent, whatever the origin of the pollution, per inhabitant and per day. One p.e. corresponds to an average daily discharge of 180 l of effluent with a load of 90 g of ESM, 60 g of BOD5, 135 g of COD, 9.9 g of total nitrogen and 2 g of total phosphorus. The information will be updated annually.
