Railway connections in port areas in Flanders

Description

Annual trend in the number of connections to the Infrabel network in the major ports in Flanders: Antwerp, North Sea Port (formerly Ghent-Maritime), Ostend and Zeebrugge. A connection to the track allows an undertaking to be connected to the rail network. This particular infrastructure includes the branch line and private tracks that include all railway facilities beyond the branch line. Definitions of connections from 2022 onwards: Railway connections: total number of connections (active and inactive)Active rail connections: total number of connections with actual railway activity in year Y-1.Inactive railway connections: total number of connections which are the subject of a contract (or ministerial decree) and which have no actual railway activity in year Y-1.Rail connections in port areas in the Flemish region: total number of active/inactive connections in port areas in the Flemish region.
