Recycling of IT equipment

Description

For several years, Infrabel has been giving a second life to its IT and telecommunications devices that no longer meet internal standards. With this in mind and in order to reduce our waste generation, our appliances are reused, refurbished or recycled.Reuse and repair are the preferred options for the rapid reintroduction of appliances on the market: in Belgium (social stores, circular economy circuits, etc.) but also abroad (schools in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, etc.). If reuse or repair is not possible, it is the recycling route that is followed through approved channels, in order to ensure maximum reuse of raw materials and minimize our impact on nature.
