Community administration – Political life: The Council of the CPAS The council governs everything within the competence of the Centre Public d’Action Sociale (CPAS), unless the law provides otherwise.Let us state that the law sets out many provisions which fall exclusively within the competence of the Public Social Action Council and which cannot therefore be delegated to another body of the CPAS. Composition Lt;br > The CPAS is administered by a Social Action Board composed of: — 9 members for a population not exceeding 15.000 inhabitants and inhabitants — 11 members with a population of 15.001 to 50.000 inhabitants — 13 members with a population of 50.001 to 150.000 inhabitants — 15 members with a population of more than 150.000 inhabitants The seats on the Social Action Council shall be divided into political groups in proportion to the number of seats that each political group enjoys in the municipal council following the last municipal elections. It should be noted that the functioning of the Council is governed by rules of procedure.
