Namur - Punctual inventory of trees on the public domain. In the light of climate change, taking care of our natural heritage, and especially our trees, is now an imperative. The presence of trees in the city is more necessary than ever. This attention to the wooded heritage requires first of all a better knowledge of it. Since 2020, no less than 12 200 trees located on the public domain have been encoded, studied, measured ... A gigantic and always evolving work that is presented to you on these pages.Objective: carry out an inventory of the trees as exhaustive as possible throughout the territory of the municipality of Namur, i.e. nearly 176 km2!The City of Namur gradually enters in this detailed inventory the trees under the responsibility of the public services as well as the remarkable trees of the public or private domain.
