List of establishments for seniors in Wallonia

Description

This dataset locates institutions for seniors (from the age of 60) in Wallonia, with the exception of the German-speaking Community. Institutions shall be characterised by their type and operating title number. A distinction is thus made between the nursing home, the serviced residence and the day-care centre. - The nursing home is the establishment, whatever its name, intended for the accommodation of elderly persons who have their habitual residence there and receive, depending on their dependency, family, household, daily living assistance and nursing or paramedical care. - A serviced residence consists of one or more buildings, whatever their name, constituting a functional unit, managed by a natural or legal person who, for consideration, offers its residents housing enabling them to lead an independent life and services which they can freely call upon. - The day-care centre consists of a building or part of a building, whatever it may be called, situated within or in connection with a nursing home or a nursing and care home, where residents are accommodated during the day, who receive family and household care and, if necessary, therapeutic and social care. This dataset is updated monthly, compared to the data published by the public service of Wallonia.
