Description

This dataset presents different parking spaces for people with reduced mobility in Wallonia Motivations for creating the dataset This dataset is the result of a Crowdsourcing exercise carried out by FuturoCité from 10 to 31 October 2022, in the form of a challenge (‘PMR Places – If you take my place, take my handicap’) using the Databusters tool developed by FuturoCité. Databusters is a web app that invites Walloon citizens to collect data in the context of challenges opened by public actors or by FuturoCité. In the form of crowdsourcing, the data collection enabled by the Databusters service allows Walloon administrations and public actors to collect data for public interest purposes. The dataset was originally created to reference as many PRM parking lots as possible on the Wallonia-en-Poche application, in particular in the form of a map. Wallonia en Poche is an application that brings together relevant and up-to-date services and information for all Walloons, relying mainly on Open Data. refer to more PRM locations in Wallonia and make this information available. Indeed, except in a few municipalities (Namur, Liège, La Louvière, Mons), PRM locations are not referenced in Open Data in Wallonia, whereas this is a data of major public interest. This dataset is therefore a complement to the datasets that already exist on the referencing of PMR locations in Wallonia. The current dataset is therefore not exhaustive as regards the Walloon territory, although it is likely to be updated regularly, on the one hand because it is still possible to collect this data via Databusters at present, and on the other hand as part of future challenges to identify PRM locations in Wallonia. This dataset could be used for different purposes: Associated with other datasets on PRM locations in Wallonia: map bicycle parking throughout Wallonia; Locally, in certain cities, municipalities, areas, etc., map PRM locations in a more restricted way; Complete existing datasets of different public actors, associations or administrations. and others. Be careful! To consider this dataset as representative of all PMR locations in Wallonia would be misleading. As a producer, FuturoCité offers this dataset as a complement to the datasets on the same theme produced by the different Walloon cities, municipalities and inter-municipalities. The production of this dataset is carried out with the support of Wallonia and Digital Wallonia. Composition of the dataset The data in this game contains the location of places for people with reduced mobility (address and geolocation), the number of places available per place and their photos (in the form of URLs referring to the FuturoCité server). This dataset follows the standard Walloon “PMR Locations” scheme defined by the Walloon Local Open Data Working Group described here: http://www.futurocite.be/schema-des-locations-pmr/ . However, a ‘picture’ field has been added to contain the photos of the locations. The advantage of this standard is that it is based on country-wide standardised fields (INS code, streetnumber, etc.). This dataset is partial (not exhaustive). Data has been redacted for municipalities that are already opening their data (these data have been sent to them for consolidation), such as the city of Namur. Field name Description Identifier (id) This field contains a local unique identifier. The data producer generates it by associating the INS code of the municipality in which the PMR location is located with a number. Name of the municipality (municipality) This field contains the name of the municipality in which the PMR location is located. INS code (ins_code) This field contains the INS code of the municipality where the PMR location is located. Street name (street_name) This field provides the name of the road where the PMR location is located (or the road closest to the PMR location if the location is not on the road).
