Developed and secure hitchhiking in Chaudfontaine

Description

“Covoit'Stop” is one of the alternatives proposed by the Province of Liège to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Stop signs are installed at different strategic locations where the motorist can stop to load the pedestrian. “Covoit'stoppeurs” present each other their card and can, for greater security, send an SMS indicating their membership numbers to a central number. This system is also a solution to the high cost of the car, to the frequency of public transport or to the insufficient lanes intended for soft travel.
