Zone GEODE Z1200. Galicia-Trás-os-Montes

Description

This continuous mapping was made within the GEODE Plan that uses as a basis the pre-existing series MAGNA E.1:50,000. However, it was improved with more recent geologic cartography published in Doctoral Thesis, Bachelor’s Thesis and Scientific Journals. Previously unpublished maps of granitic rocks carried out by the IGME have also been incorporated in two RAG projects (Petrology and Geochemistry of the granite rocks of the North and the OS of Galicia). The unified cartography of the Alloccan Complexes had the collaboration of J. R. Martínez Catalán (Univ. Salamanca), R. Arenas (Univ. Complutense de Madrid) and F. Diaz (Univ. Oviedo) and, some sectors of the Dominio Esquistoso, with the collaboration of A. Marcos Vallaure (Univ. Oviedo).
