The project Map of Industrial Rocks and Minerals of Castilla y León scale 1:400,000 is the product of a collaboration agreement signed in July 2009 between the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME) and the Society of Research and Mining Exploitation of Castilla y León (SIEMCALSA). The objective of this agreement was the realisation of the Map of Industrial Rocks and Minerals of Castilla y León, which would improve the knowledge and mining use of them, without forgetting their invaluable application in territorial planning.
