List of aid granted under archaeological excavations – SIAR (2016-2020)
Description
The Department has a considerable number of particularly rich and well-preserved archaeological sites, covering all periods from ancient prehistory to modern times. Archaeological research in the Hérault is one of the most active at the national level and the first at the regional level. Each year, the Department supports the conduct of planned excavations at more than fifteen sites spread across its territory. The results of this work are restored to the Heraultese public through conferences, site visits and exhibitions that are regularly offered.
