Description
Created in 2003, the departmental piezometric monitoring network aims to measure the water levels of groundwater. To date, it has a total of 60 points. The selection of monitored sites was carried out on the basis of the interest of the underground resource and the existence of abstractions used for drinking water supply.
The monitoring of resources is all the more necessary to adapt local aquifer management in a context of increasing water needs for the coming decades and climate change announced. This network thus complements the monitoring carried out at national level.
