In Hérault, the Tourist Offices engaged in the “Accueil Vélo” approach are a wealth of information and equipment for cyclists: secure bike parking, repair kit and foot pump, charging for your battery or phone, water point, practical documentation.

With the succession of three departmental cycling schemes, the Department has positioned itself for 20 years as a historical and essential player in cycling. Our community has thus developed an offensive cycling policy on many fields, to the benefit of the territories of Hérault: serving

secure colleges, creation of trails and green roads, development of major mountain bike routes, bike animations, development of tourist services and receptions for cyclists,...

More and more, the use of bicycles is a major challenge for Héraultais in terms of daily travel, air quality and noise reduction, as well as sport and leisure.

As part of the ecological and energy transition, in addition to the new departmental mobility (sharing car parks, Rezo Pouce hitchhiking, charging stations for electric cars, teleworking thanks to THD, etc.), the bike is a means of travelling in its own right. It is certainly good for health and respectful of our environment, but above all efficient and

helps to reduce the transport budget of the most fragile households or users.
