dog walking zone overview

HONDENLOOPZONE Urban development/Design execution A dog walking zone is a site demarcated by the city: fenced and indicated by a sign. Dog walking zones are the only places in the city where a dog can run loose on the public domain (not on a leash). These areas have a fence, gate, trash can and a sign and are sometimes also equipped with lighting and one or more benches. According to the possibilities, a dog walking zone can be quite small or large, so a larger dog walking zone has more facilities (more sofas, multiple entrances, etc.). A dog walking zone is established by the city or district and maintained by city staff. Locations of the dog walking zones can be used as a support tool for the service and i.f.v. environmental analyses e.g. accessibility. The inventory shall be carried out on-site or on the basis of as-built plans.
