service centre overview

SERVICES CENTRE_OVERVIEW City of Antwerp / Team Data The geo-layer shows the exact locations of the local service centres and can be used in function of the management of the care patrimony and spatial analyses in combination with other information: dispersion, environmental analyses, accessibility. Local service centres offer, among other things, informative, recreational and educational activities. These activities are specifically designed to strengthen the participants’ self-reliance and social network. A local service centre focuses in particular on people in an early care situation. For example, local service centres also offer assistance with everyday activities (hairdresser, washing aid, foot care and other hygienic care, hot food, shopping aid, community assistance and transport). The inventory was made on the basis of data from the Agency for Care and Health, supplemented by data from Zorgbedrijf Antwerpen and the umbrella associations Residential Care for the Elderly Zorgnet Icuro and VLOZO (Flemish Independent Care Network). The address fields were used to link the settings to the Large-Scale Base Card.
