Description

This file provides the number of persons assisted in the family care of the elderly (AFPA) per canton and the amounts of assistance granted. The data cover the period during which the services were performed (service provided). Where a canton has fewer than 5 beneficiaries, the data are subject to statistical confidentiality. In total, in 2022, at the departmental level, there are 37 beneficiaries of the AFPA, for a total expenditure of EUR 323479. The AFPA consists of the reception, at the home of a third party who has obtained the approval of the President of the Department, for consideration, of an elderly person. The family host shall be remunerated by the person in receipt of: the Department is not its employer. Those who are accommodated may apply for accommodation costs to be covered by social assistance in the event of insufficient resources. It is granted according to the provisions of admission to social assistance.
