Description

The Environmental Noise Prevention Plan is one of the documents intended to ensure that people are informed about their level of noise exposure and the actions planned to reduce this pollution. Approved by departmental elected representatives on 25 March 2024. Public consultation from 22 April to 24 June 2024. The document will be updated taking into account the comments collected for final approval before the end of 2024. In the context of the application of the European Directive 2002/49/EC relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise, large agglomerations and **large land transport infrastructure** must be subject to **Strategic Noise Maps** (CBS) and **e Environmental Noise Prevention Plans** (EPPP). **Objective:** * **prevent** the effects of noise, * **reduce noise levels** in critical situations, * **protect** "quiet areas". The aim is also to **guarantee information** to the public on their **level of noise exposure** and on the **actions planned to reduce** this pollution.
