Scopes of the ENS de l'Ain

Description

Attention new flow URL carto.ain.fr becomes geodata.ain.fr Perimeter labeled sensitive natural areas (ENS) in Ain as of January 2024. That is to say, they were the subject of a deliberation in Session or in Standing Committee of the Departmental Council. Sensitive Natural Areas (ENS) are remarkable and fragile natural areas, which are identified and protected because of their ecological, landscape or cultural value. The Department then carries out preservation and enhancement policies specific to the needs of each space. Their characterization as a Sensitive Natural Space aims to protect animal and plant species while encouraging the practice of sustainable and reasoned activities. At the disposal of departments, sensitive natural areas (ENS) are a tool for the protection of spaces (established by Law 76.1285 of 31 December 1976) whose natural character is threatened and made vulnerable, currently or potentially. The objectives of the NSEs are to: * preserve the quality of sites, landscapes, natural environments and habitats and flood expansion fields by acquisition and management, directly or by accompanying a local project leader (community, association ...) * to develop these spaces to be open to the public, except in exceptional cases justified by the fragility of the natural environment for the purpose of discovering natural environments. This file was made on a piecemeal scale when the plans annexed to the deliberations allowed it. Where applicable, the ENS plot has been digitised using IGN orthophotography
