Statistical variables (indicators)
Description
The data set contains codes, texts and definitions of statistical variables (indicators) from the statistical meta-information system (SMS block UKAZ) of the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ).The texts and definitions are prepared in Czech and English. The English version of the texts is not mandatory, yet it is available for most statistical variables.The statistical variable (formerly used the term indicator) factually defines the observed statistical phenomenon.The statistical variables are used at all stages of the processing and presentation of statistical data. They are used in all areas of statistics (social, demographic, economic and environmental statistics).
