Description
On the basis of the consolidated text of Act No. 2/2003 Coll., on Municipalities (municipal establishment), the territory of a statutory city may be divided into municipal districts or districts with their own self-government bodies. The delimitation of the territory of city districts or city districts of statutory cities is a matter of city statutes. The territory of the capital city of Prague, for which a separate Act No. 131/2000 Coll. on the capital city of Prague was issued, is divided into city districts with their own self-government bodies. A city district or district forms a contiguous territory. The territory of an urban district or district consists of cadastral areas or parts thereof (territorial technical units). The areas of the city district/city district are composed into the respective statutory city or the capital city of Prague. The territory of urban districts or districts may not cover the entire territory of cities.
