Daily Sales (Weekly SII Information)

Description

The statistic shows the level and daily evolution of sales made by companies included in the Immediate Supply of Information (SII) system. Since its entry into force, this system has made it possible to have more up-to-date sales data, daily compared to the monthly or quarterly data characteristic of VAT returns. Those obliged to complete their tax obligations through the SII are the Large Companies (those with a volume of operations in the previous year greater than 6 million euros), the VAT groups and the companies registered in the Monthly Return Register. Daily sales account for around 70% of the total domestic sales of all VAT payers (the percentage is higher when considering the total turnover declared). The publication is composed of a report and historical series since July 1, 2017. From the latter, properly treated, a signal of the economic situation is provided, which complements and anticipates the sales information contained in the tax collection reports and in the monthly statistics of Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies (VESGE) and in the quarterly of Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies and SMEs (VESGEP).
